As the new fashion season kicks off with the Wills India Fashion Week starting the ball rolling today, fashion magazine Verve demonstrates the increasing interconnectedness of the fashion industry and Bollywood by featuring Ghajini actress Asin on the front cover this month and in a magical article called The Enchantress of Kochi.
The Dasavathram actress is now looking forward to the release of London Dreams with Ajay Devgan and Salman Khan which is nearing the end of post-production. She looks back fondly on the work she did with Aamir Khan for Ghajini. “Shooting with Aamir was great fun,” she says, “He isn’t as serious as he is projected to be. He is highly dedicated to his work but is very cool and easy to work with. He’s a simple person, very genuine and frank about his opinions despite having such a good stature in Bollywood.”
Asin is very excited about her new film 19 Steps. “The film is being produced by Walt Disney and a good portion will be shot in Kerala,” she explains, “Kamal Hassan plays an important role in the film which also has popular Japanese actor Tadanobu Asano. This is going to be made in Tamil, Japanese and English and will commence shooting in the second half of this year.”
