Fresh from winning the Best Newcomer Award at the Star Screen Awards for her role in Ghajini, Asin has announced she has no plans to stay permanently in Mumbai. “This is not a permanent shift from south Indian film industry to Bollywood, it’s just that I had two exciting projects, so I came here,” she explained. She will next be seen in London Dreams with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan.

Just as Asin has not lost her heart to Mumbai, nor has she lost it to any one individual as yet. He may be from the Bollywood Film Industry or a businessman. It depends entirely upon how I get along with him.” Start the queue here guys!

Asin has confirmed she will be teaming up with superstar Kamal Hassan again after their success in Dasavatharam. They will appear together in the film 19th Step alongside Japanese star Tadanobu Asano. “This film will be Asin’s biggest project so far as the budget of the film is 50 million US dollars and it is based on the theme of the origins of Martial Arts in Kerala,” says a source, “Asin will play a local princess.”
