A few days ago, Abhishek Bachchan tweeted, “Just spoke to Balki. He wants to add some deleted scenes to the film.”
“The film” he was referring to was, of course, Paa directed by R. Balakrishnan or better known as “Balki”.
A few minutes later, Abhishek tweeted, “My dilemma. Release it on the DVD or add it to the film in theatres?”
It appears as though the decision has been made and at least three deleted scenes will be incorporated into giving audiences more of Auro, the Progeria-stricken boy played by Amitabh Bachchan.
Mr Bachchan wrote on his blog:
“Yes more is welcome. Balki wishes to put in 3 deleted scenes of the film back on to it. And I think we shall be talking to the channels and media about it.”
One of the refrains that floated by was that they had wished there was more of Auro in the film. Guess Balki heard that one and now wishes to execute it.”
He went on to say that as soon as they were technically prepared, “…the fresh scenes shall find their way in the film.”
The actor put up a poll on his blog asking fans to advise whether adding the extra scenes would be a good idea or not.
Paa stars Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan and Paresh Rawal. It released worldwide on December 4 and has a unique storyline of a father-son relationship.
