After giving us three successful movies within the past two years, one of Bollywood’s youngest filmmakers, Mohit Suri, returns to the director’s chair with his forthcoming Awaarapan which has now completed production. Produced by Mukesh Bhatt under the Vishesh Films banner, the film stars Emraan Hashmi, who incidentally starred in all of Mohit’s project thus far, Shreya Saran, who debuted in the forgettable Shukriya in 2004, Mrinalini Sharma, who makes her debut and Ashutosh Rana.
Emraan Hashmi will be donning a fresh new role; one he has never done before and he is also sporting a new look for the movie with long hair, a moustache and stubble. The film revolves around a gangster with a tragic past that continue to haunt him. Awaarapan is said to be the most expensive film to come out of the Bhatt camp, budgeted at Rs. 18 crores. The movie is due for release on June 29th, 2007.
