BANG BANG scores #1 North American Bollywood opening of 2014

14sep_bangbangmusicHrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif scored the biggest Bollywood opening weekend of 2014 in North America with their new blockbuster Bang Bang which grossed an estimated $1.2 million over the Friday-to-Sunday period and $1.4 million in the four days since its Thursday debut. That beat out this year’s previous top hits including Salman Khan’s Kick and Jai Ho as well as Chetan Bhagat’s 2 States. In fact in just four days, Bang Bang has already beaten the lifetime gross of Ajay Devgn’s hit sequel Singham Returns in North America which released in August.

Not only that the music by Vishal-Shekhar is also the #1 soundtrack of the year.

Shot all across the globe and featuring some of the year’s most popular songs, Fox Star’s Bang Bang is now playing in theaters all across North America and the world.

A chance encounter of the unassuming bank receptionist Harleen Sahni (Katrina Kaif) with the charming yet mysterious Rajveer Nanda (Hrithik Roshan), results in an on-rush of ditched planes, car chases, shoot-outs, bombing raids and general global mayhem. But as the transcontinental chase ensues with Rajveer convincing Harleen that he’s the good guy, can she really trust him, and will trust matter when the bullets start flying? Fox Star Studios and Director Siddharth Anand promise edge of the seat excitement and adrenaline-pumping action as the duo fight against all odds. Expect explosions, trigger happy assassins and pandemonium that can only aptly be termed as Bang Bang!
