As we all know Sanjay Leela Bhansali always does everything with full on epic over the top production – in the best way of course! For his next film Bajirao Mastani – A historical epic, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra we expect his signature stunning visuals, artistic locations and mesmerizing set design to bring to life the epic stories he chooses to bring to the big screen.
Even for the marketing of this epic, the director is making sure that it parallels the grand scale of the historical film. The first song, Gajanana, was launched in record breaking fashion, by creating the biggest human formation of a mosaic image of Lord Ganesha. Setting a record for the largest human formation of a deity, the event saw over 5000 eager students volunteer from across India, who gathered to create a 194-foot version of Lord Ganesha.
Director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali said, “We couldn’t think of a better way to start off the campaign than with the launch of Gajanana, which is an auspicious way to start our journey. Working on this film has been a very spiritual journey for me as a filmmaker. Gajanana is uplifting and truly signifies that.”
