Shahid-Anushka (Badmaash Company)
What didn’t work: When an actress who made her debut opposite King Khan comes with her second offering, one’s expectations are bound to be slightly high. However, Anushka Sharma’s role in Badmaash Company was a stark contrast to her role in Rab Na Bana Di Jodi. With her love interest in the film being Bollywood’s chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor and the film being about a business of conning people, their jodi was required to keep the romantic quota believable. Unfortunately, the jodi wasn’t quite as plausible as it should’ve been – Kapoor’s baby-faced “maturity” just didn’t match Sharma’s height or her bubbly character.
Verdict: Badmaashi limited.
