Bollywood stars are increasingly becoming known not just for the films they star in, but also for the commercials which they appear in. Whether it’s soft drinks or beauty products, we’ve seen many of our favourite stars gracing our television screens to endorse something, in the hope that us consumers will go out and buy them. From Shah Rukh Khan donning a Tag Heur watch to Katrina Kaif flying with Etihad Airways, here are just some of BollySpice’s favourite commercials that have featured some of Bollywood’s major icons! Deepika Padukone (Axis Bank) – Her recent rise to stardom has undoubtedly resulted in more corporations approaching her for endorsement deals. Check out this cool recently released commercial of Deepika Padukone promoting Axis Bank. We love it as it’s a nice illustration of the fact that fame shouldn’t let your relationship with friends change.
Shraddha Kapoor (Secret Temptation) – Post Aashiqui 2, Shraddha Kapoor is definitely the most sought after actress within the film industry. Check out this great commercial she did with Secret Temptation where all the boys go ‘ga ga’ over her.
Ranbir Kapoor (Pepsi) – Check out this cool and funny commercial of the drink brand Pepsi featuring superstar Ranbir Kapoor. It has a nice youthful concept to it which will certainly appeal to the masses.
Shah Rukh Khan (Tag Heur) – During the peak of his career in the 2000s, many corporations wanted King Khan to endorse their products. Of course, Shah Rukh did numerous commercials during this time, including this one with Tag Heur. He is one of the most successful actors in the history of Indian Cinema and what better way to show it off than to have a bit of luxury on your wrist.
Aamir Khan & Aishwarya Rai (Coca Cola) – They’ve never worked together in a Bollywood film, yet they did in fact do this one memorable commercial with global drink brand Coca Cola. We love it due to its modern style and of course because it features Aamir and Aishwarya together!
Priyanka Chopra (Nikon) – Here’s a great one of Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra promoting Nikon cameras, which has also been directed by Dostana director Tarun Mansukhani. Priyanka reprises her ‘Desi Girl’ role as the action shifts from the beachside locale to a hip nightclub. Check out the due back in action, though only for a mere 30 seconds!
Himesh Reshammiya (Tata Indicom) – We love this cool commercial of music composer Himesh with Tata Indicom. This is largely due to the fact that this is the only commercial he has ever done and managed to pull it off nicely.
Hrithik Roshan (Mountain Dew) – Here is another guy whom some of the biggest brands in India are chasing after to support their product. Check out Hrithik Roshan in action in the refreshing commercial by Mountain Dew.
Katrina Kaif (Etihad Airways) – She is arguably the most successful non-Indian actress to enter the world of Bollywood. And her countless brand endorsements prove it! This includes this addictive and nicely produced commercial of Katrina Kaif for Etihad Airways, which was choreographed by Farah Khan.
Ranveer Singh (Durex) – Here is a rare one of current Bollywood star Ranveer Singh endorsing the world’s favourite condom brand. We very much appreciated this commercial due to the Ranveer’s brave move to support a product regarding a subject that is still, to some extent, considered taboo in India. Very few actors would sign up to such a commercial, but Ranveer has set a fine example that you shouldn’t be afraid to speak up on personal health and safety.
Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan (AirTel) – They’re one of Bollywood’s favourite couples and surprisingly they chose to work together in this unique commercial for AirTel. Check out Saif and Kareena in action!
Amitabh Bachchan and Sachin Tendulkar (Pepsi) – We know we’ve already featured a Pepsi commercial already. But here’s another fantastic one with Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan with sports legend Sachin Tendulkar. We love the song and dance theme to this commercial, which gives it a superb vibrant effect.
Katrina Kaif (Swayaamvar) – Here is a recent juicy commercial featuring the beautiful Katrina for Mango drinks company Swayaamvar. Katrina looks poised and elegant throughout and the wonderful Indian touch to it makes it all the more appealing.
