2. Om Shanti Om (2007) – “Aaj is baat ka bhi yakeen ho gaya, ki hamari filmmon ki tarah hamari zindagi mein bhi end tak sab kuch theek hi ho jata hain, happies ending, aur agar theek na ho to woh ‘the end’ nahin, picture abhi baki hain mere dost, picture abhi baki hain!”

“Today I have come to realize that like our movies, in our life, by the end everything gets resolved; happy ending. And if it is not resolved then it is not the end, the picture remains my friend, the picture remains.”

The sweetest and most iconic dialogue of the film is uttered by both incarnations of Om, when Om, the junior artist, receives the Baatli award and stuns his friend Paapu and other denizens of the street. Then the arrogant Om of the millennium era is humbled by these words when he instinctively repeats them at the Filmfare Awards. This oft-quoted line sounds like it could be straight out of a vintage film, which is the ultimate compliment to one of the best and heartfelt homage films ever.
