The countdown to London’s hottest new musical is becoming intense.
It is now just 2 weeks until Beyond Bollywood dazzles the West End!
The London Palladium stage will witness an outpour of Bollywood on the 8th of May 2015 as the sold out Mumbai show arrives to the UK.
This production promises to be much more than just a musical, or just a show but a monsoon of emotion that brings the fire, heat and desire of Indian dance direct to the heart of London.
Anticipations are set high as Beyond Bollywood is written, directed and choreographed by Rajeev Goswami – the famed Bollywood choreographer, pop artist and co-founder of RG Studios.
The team includes Bollywood’s famous lyricist Irrfan Siddiqui whose work includes hits Fashion, Kurbaan and Heroine.
Beyond Bollywood excitingly has an original score by composer duo Salim-Sulaiman Merchant famous for scores such as Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Chak De! India.
Bringing the stage alive will be Ana Ilmi, Mohit Mathur, Pooja Pant and Sudeep Modak.
Ilmi plays the part of a young Indian girl Shaily Shergill. Shaily leaves her German home and ventures to India all set with the purpose to fulfil her departed mother Jaswinder’s dream. Jaswinder had been a revered classical Indian Kathak dancer who owned an ancestral theatre in Germany – now on the verge of doom.
