Bipasha Basu has always been known for being a powerful woman, and now it seems that directors are taking note of this characteristic as Bipasha is again set to take on the role of a warrior, but this time it is in Abbas-Mustan’s new flick Players.
Bipasha plays a modern day warrior in Players, which is a remake of The Italian Job, and will be sharing the screen with four male actors: Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Omi Vaidya. It has not yet been confirmed which actor Bipasha is paired opposite, but the actress has said she “has scenes with all of them.” If past Abbas-Mustan films are anything to go by it looks like Bipasha will be romancing all four actors; in Ajnabee, Bipasha was paired alongside Akshay and Bobby, whilst in Race she was romancing both Saif Ali Khan and Akshaye Khanna.
Players is the second film this year that Bipasha Basu is currently filming for that requires that actress to shoot action scenes, she is also currently filming Hollywood flick Singularity where she plays a warrior queen in the 18th Century. She told Mid-Day, “I’m shooting for both, and have action scenes in both. At times, I’m confused which film I am shooting for.”
Players also stars Sonam Kapoor and is scheduled for a 2011 release. It is the next directorial film for Abbas-Mustan since Race in 2008.
