BollySpice at the ‘Asian Awards 2010’

BollySpice attended the inaugural Asian Awards 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London’s Park Lane. Bollywood figures Yash Chopra, AR Rahman and Amitabh Bachchan were all announced as winners at the event on October 26th.

Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman added another statue to his collection, by taking home the Outstanding Achievement in Music award at the awards show.

Veteran film director Yash Chopra’s five decades in Bollywood were also honoured with the prize for Outstanding Achievement in Cinema. Six years after the release of his last film, Chopra is ready to get back in the director’s chair. “I want to do another film as too much time has passed. Sooner rather than later I will start my film.” The 77-year-old’s award was presented on the night by Bend It Like Beckham director Gurinder Chadha

Superstar singer Sonu Nigam entertained the audience with music from Kal Ho Naa Ho and Dil Se at the function which raised over
