Summer is no doubt the perfect season to shake a leg to some of your favourite Bollywood songs! To celebrate the hot season, BollySpice has put together a special list of the songs which we cannot get enough of and just had to include them on our playlist. From dance numbers to power ballads, we bring to you just some of the songs which we have to listen to on a regular basis! Enjoy!

Tum Hi Ho (Aashiqui 2) – This song has been played at every wedding and yet it doesn’t seem to get old. But that isn’t the only use you can get out of this tune! It’s the perfect sing-along on a drive with friends or even a break-up track to sob along to. Arijit Singh’s vocals are perfect for every occasion!

Balam Pichkari (Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani) – The perfect song for anyone who is in a good mood. What better way to make your day more lively and ‘desi.’

Sunny Sunny (Yaariyan) – The perfect track to get you in a summer mood. Play on full blast in the sunshine!

Galliyan (Ek Villain) – A refreshing number with great soft and rock music that makes it perfect for anyone who is either in love or waiting for love!

Pareshaan (Ishaqzaade) – It may not be the first option for many people, but Amit Trivedi composed a beautiful tune that, together with Kausar Munir’s lyrics and Shalmali Kholgade’s sweet voice, becomes the perfect song to describe the first stages of falling in love. Arjun and Parineeti’s chemistry together just adds the final touch to a wonderful song for an amazing film!

O Gujariya and Hungama Ho Gaya (Queen) – They are the perfect tracks for any playlist and work as great stress busters!

Phir Le Aaya Dil (Barfi) – This beautiful track with lilting vocals and refreshingly romantic lyrics never fails to soothe the mind. It should definitely be considered for anger management therapy!

Tum Hi Ho Bandhu (Cocktail) – Another summer tune that transports you to the weather and views of Capetown where you can pretend you have Deepika’s body and are best friends with Diane.

Barbaad Raat (Humshakals) – A new song that has a real groove to it with wonderful vocals by Sanam Puri & Shalmali Kholgade and music by Himeshji, this song will definitely get you feeling romantic & wanting to dance!

Tera Deedar Hua (Jannat 2) – This song always makes ANYTHING feel possible, ANYTHING feel happier and ANYTHING feel better! The lyrics portray the beauty of love and how love is the most important and ONLY powerful force that can change your life.

Joote De Do Paise Le Lo (Hum Aapke Hain Koun) – This song can turn any day into feeling fun and no wedding season is complete without shaking a leg to this song with all your family and friends.

Yeh Meri Kahaani (Zinda) –  Though of course I had heard the songs in the movies, this is the first Hindi film song I ever heard separately and it introduced me to the magic of  the music! It made me fall in love with Hindi film songs separate from the movie.  It will always be on my favorite song playlist and every time I hear it I think ‘wow listen to that amazing music!’ (Thanks A!)

Dheere Jalna (Paheli) – This is my all time favorite Hindi film track. The  music surrounds you and gets in your soul.

Bin Tere Reprise  (I Hate Luv Storys) – As I said in my review: “I love, love simple acoustic guitar lines and vocals and so the reprise version had me at the first note. Simple, sweet, and perfect – not a wrong note anywhere!” Shekhar is fantastic. (This is still my ringtone!)

O Re Piya ( Aaja Nachle) – Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is beyond perfect on this track that oozes feeling. You actually feel every note! It got even better once seen in the world of the film.
