European Satellite Channel, Setanta Sports will be showing Indian Premier League Cricket throughout the summer and it’s going to be Bolly Good with superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta and Akshay Kumar backing their favourite teams all the way. The 2020 tournament has seen Shah Rukh Khan buying the Kolkata Knight Riders, whose side includes superstars Saurav Ganguly, Ricky Ponting, Ajit Agarkar and Shoaib Akhter.
Meanwhile, gorgeous Punjabi Preity Zinta has acquired a stake in the Punjabi King’s XI, captained by Yuvraj Singh. Akshay Kumar, meanwhile, has become the brand ambassador for the Delhi Daredevils and may soon be followed by Hritik Roshan as brand ambassador for the Mumbai Indians. The Bollywood touch has also been added to theme songs and video shoots for the teams in the 59-game tournament. Trevor East of Setanta Sports says,”The Indian Premier League is going to be massive. Twenty20 cricket has been a phenomenal success and this tournament with all its world class players is sure to capture the imagination of sports fans. I firmly believe the IPL will become a highlight of the international sporting calendar for years to come. That’s why we’ve shown our commitment by signing a five-year deal.”
