It is almost time to celebrate the end of one year and the beginning of hopefully an exciting and happy new year for us all. We thought we would share some of the stars of Bollywood plans for New Years eve and their hopes and wishes for 2008.
Priyanka Chopra: “I’m shooting till the 30th. Then I’ve one day to spend with my family. After New Year, I’m off to Bangkok to shoot a commercial. My wish? That my father remains well, and my films do well.”
Suniel Shetty: “I’ll spend the year-end with my family. I want them to be happy and complete in 2008. On the professional front, I want my production company to march ahead.”
Lara Data: “To work hard and to meditate harder, to progress professionally and spiritually.”
Tusshar Kapoor: “I can’t travel out for the New Year, as I’m shooting. So I’ll have some close friends over on the 31st. My only wish for 2008 is to see that my films get a smooth release.”
Sonam Kapoor: “This New Year, I’ll be shooting in Jaipur. But my parents, sister and my best friend are coming to visit me.”
Shreyas Talpade: “I don’t know what’s going to happen on New Years. I will most likely be shooting for Golmaal Returns. I also celebrate my anniversary on New Year so I hope something fun and memorable comes up. I will mostly be spending it with my family if I’m not shooting.”
Arshad Warsi: “I’m off to the mountains in Uttaranchal with my family. I wish the world would take global warming seriously in 2008.”
Madhavan: “I’m off on a cruise with my wife and son. I want to spend lots of time with my family in Chennai in 2008. In 2007, I spent all of 28 days at home!”
Urmila Matondkar: “I’ll be working on New Year’s eve. As for my wish list for 2008, do you have the time?”
Kangna Ranaut: “No plans for the New Year. But I do want to take a holiday in the South of France.”
Mona Singh: “This may sound boring. But I’ll be visiting gurudwaras on New Year’s. Then I’ll spend the day with family and party at night with friends. In 2008, I hope I get that one big role in Bollywood.”
Amrita Arora: “I’ll be working in Bangalore on the 31st. In 2008, I want to do more good work and hope that my films do well.”
Muzamil Ibrahim: “I don’t have a plan for the New Year. I’ll just go with what my friends want to do. I want my parents to be healthy during 2008. And I wish my career would take off beyond Dhokha.”
Himesh Reshammiya: “I have no plans to party. I’m totally tied up with my recordings of my new film, Karzzzz. In 2008, I want to live up to the audiences’ expectations in my three upcoming films.”
Perizaad Zorabian: “This New Year is special. Because it’s my first as mommie to my baby Zaha. In 2008, I want to balance out my family life with my career.”
Upen Patel: “I’ll be spending a quiet New Year with my mom. In 2008, I hope for happiness, success and love and a life free of manipulations.”
Rahul Khanna: “I’m spending the New Year with friends in the US and am looking forward to a year of interesting and fun-filled roles.”
Arbaaz Khan: “For the New Year, I’ll be at our farm-house with my parents and brothers. In 2008, I want to quit smoking. My son is growing up and I don’t want him to feel it’s okay to smoke because I’m doing it.”
Sophie Chowdhary: “I’d like to bring in the New Year while performing on stage. It’s not just about money. I’m passionate about singing and dancing. In 2008, I want to be appreciated as an actor and not just a veejay and singer.”
Koena Mitra: “I’ll bring in the New Year with work. In 2008, I want better work and more love from everyone.”
Sameera Reddy: “I’ll bring in the New Year with family and friends. In 2008, I’d like to build on the sense of positivity that I created within me in 2007.”
Malaika Arora: “I’ll be in Delhi, performing. In 2008 I want my new TV show and my feature film EMI to do well.”
Esha Deol: “On the 31st, I’ll be with friends and mum out of India. In 2008, I want a role that will challenge me as an actress. For the rest of world, I pray for peace.”
Bipasha Basu: “I’m working on New Year’s eve. Then I’m heading for Kenya for a holiday. I hope to do great work in 2008. I’d like to travel more and pray for less violence in the world.”
