Bollywood was all over the world, welcoming 2013 with their loved ones. At the same time, they didn’t forget wishing their fans with their tweets. Here is what B town said:
Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “Happy New Year to all for a glorious 2013. But never forget what 2012 left us with.”
Asha Bhosle tweeted her best wishes while Lata Mangeshkar tweeted, ”Namaskaar and a very happy new year to my twitter family… lots of love, happiness, peace and good health to you all.”
Akshay Kumar’s wishes had a social message which was, ”In the New Year, may your cheque book and budget, balance and include generous amounts of charity because no one has ever become poor by giving… think about it. Cheers! Happy 2013.” Madhuri Dixit also wished a happy 2013 to everyone.
Karan Johar tweeted, ”Make 2013 the year that you gain perspective, lose inhibitions and maintain your balance. Own the year… let it not own you! Happy 2013.”
Quite a few celebrities made a reference to the Delhi gang rape case that shook India.
Anupam Kher said, ”Wishing you all a happy and hopeful 2013. Love, happiness, peace and respect for the ‘Her’ among us.”
Sonam Kapoor also made a reference to the current uproar regarding the rape case and said,” Change is the only constant. Be responsible citizens of the world, who fight for what is right! Happy New Year.”
At the same time, Kunal Kohli’s tweet stated,” To all asking, not in a mood to party this year with what all is happening in our country. Protest, not party, is the mood of the moment? In 2013 lets resolve to not have any more Nibhayas. Don’t tolerate any more Pratibha Patils, Abhijit Mukherjee and the likes.”
Dia Mirza wrote, “Remember the year gone by to change all we want in the coming one. Let us make this new year a good one 🙂 positive, peaceful, loving. HNY! With Justice Verma appointed for the special commission for amendment of law for crimes against women, I go forth into the New Year with hope.”

Madhur Bhandarkar tweeted, ”While 2012 has been quite an emotional year for us, I wish you all a happy, healthy and successful 2013. Let the bright side of life begin.”
Manoj Bajpayee told his fans about his resolution for the year and tweeted,” Happy New Year to all of you! My new year resolution is to be a better human being and take care of my health all the time. Eat right.”
Arjun Rampal wished,” Good morning 2013! Wish you all, peace, love, strength and abundance of joy. Stay positive and be open to receptive to positivity. Happy New Year.”
Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi, Ranvir Shorey, Mallika Sherawat, Tusshar Kapoor, Ali Zafar, Shreyas Talpade also tweeted their wishes to all their fans and followers.
