With election season in full swing, Mumbai went out to exercise their innate and constitutional rights today, April 30th. Yes, it was voting day in the City of Dreams. The Bollywood brigade came out in full force to cast their ballot and get “inked.” The likes of Sonam Kapoor, who turned up bright and early, Aamir Khan, John Abraham, Vidya Balan and Karan Johar all turned up at their registered polling booths to have their say in this crucial voting year for India.

However, Salman Khan, who was seen out and about campaigning for a multitude of parties and personalities, did not show up to cast his ballot. He was seen out on the election trail speaking up for Vinod Khanna, Milind Deora, and Anu Tandon—who are all from different political parties, but the actor himself, was not seen at any polling booth. While he didn’t stick to any particular political group, he did speak about the importance of voting this year. This was seen as a total shift in Salman Khan, who usually takes more interest in dancing at weddings and shows for a huge price, and instead decided to show a keen interest in supporting campaigners
