Debutant author Rakesh Bakshi launched his first book, Directors’ Diaries in Mumbai on August 9, in the presence of top directors of the industry.

Directors’ Diaries is a book that chronicles the early life and career of India’s top 12 directors that include Ashutosh Gowariker, Zoya Akhtar, Farah Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Vishal Bhardwaj, Anurag Basu, Mahesh Bhatt, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Prakash Jha, Subhash Ghai, Santosh Sivan and Govind Nihalani. In this book, Rakesh Bakshi demystifies the invisible, omnipresent presence in cinema through the voice of the most iconic filmmakers of our time and their journey from their childhood to their first film, and how they make films.
