Sidharth Malhotra and Katrina Kaif can well be happy. Makers of their Baar Baar Dekho have done their job quite well to put the film on the map where audiences are indeed looking forward to what they have to offer. While Excel have backed a good concept while Dharma has ensured that the right talent comes together in the film. This is not all as Karan Johar has personally promoted the film on all available media media forums, hence heating up the film in a big way. Moreover, with Eros coming into picture, the film has been assured of classy treatment as well as mega release which has been strategized quite well all over.

Rest has been taken care of by the audio visual appeal that the film boasts of. Sidharth Malhotra’s last release Kapoor & Sons had taken an opening day of 6.85 crore while Katrina Kaif’s Phantom had started at 8.46 crore. Rest assured, Baar Baar Dekho would see a much better opening day and the challenge in hand is to see how much further does the film go beyond the 10 crore mark. Considering the fact that audiences have been waiting for the film to arrive and it has a wide appeal across age groups, one can expect a much bigger pleasant surprise on the platter for the film.

Second release of the week is Freaky Ali. This is yet another Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer where he is the central protagonist. His Manjhi – The Mountain Man [1.4 crore] and Raman Raghav 2.0 [1 crore] haven’t quite boasted of a good start though former went on to cover its costs. While he has been doing well in films where he has a strong character role to play, he is yet to find a decent grosser to his name where he is carrying the film on his shoulders. In that aspect, Salman Khan and Sohail Khan have given him a good platform to shine with Freaky Ali.

This would ensure that the opening day of Freaky Ali is definitely the best ever for Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a leading man. It has to be seen though that how much further does he go from there since for that to happen, the word of mouth would have to be good and also travel very fast. The film promises to be an entertainer but would be solely dependent on the way Nawazuddin with support from Arbaaz Khan manages to pull it through under Sohail Khan’s direction.
