NH 10-POSTER_3Powered with good content, right pitch amongst the audience, very good all around reviews and positive word of mouth, NH10 managed to show good progress in footfalls on the opening day itself. As predicted, occupancy on Friday reached the 30%-40% mark at an average which ensured that a good weekend was on the cards.

This is what happened as the Navdeep Singh directed film succeeded in bringing in around 13.3 crore mark by jumping over the weekend, hence coming into a zone from where recovery won’t be an issue for its producers (Eros, Phantom, Anushka Sharma). The film has been made at a budget of 13 crore (including Print & Advertising) and theatrical moolah should be enough to keep all involved (producers, distributors, exhibitors) in green.

While this is good news from commercial standpoint, the acceptance of NH10 by audience also indicates the fact that audience is willing to absorb even dark and dramatic affairs, which otherwise wasn’t quite a possibility till some time back. NH10 is an adult action dramatic thriller with good dose of violence in there. Still for it to find willing viewers in theaters tells a tale. Also, for Anushka, the film could well prove to be a game changer as she has come up with a career best performance that would make the industry see her in a different light altogether from this point on.
