Ritesh Batra’s award-winning new film PHOTOGRAPH starring Nawazuddin Siddique and Sanya Malhotra releases in select theaters this Friday, May 17th. Photograph premiered at Cannes this year and recently Batra won the Best Director prize at this year’s New York Indian Film Festival.
In this wistful and funny romance, a struggling Mumbai street photographer pressured to marry by his grandmother convinces a shy stranger to pose as his fiancée during a family visit. Despite vast cultural differences, the pair develops a surprising connection that challenges their worldviews.

Here’s some more exciting news! The director will be doing special Q&A sessions in New York City with opening night audiences on Friday May 17 at the Angelika Film Center after the 7:00pm show, and also on Saturday May 18 at Landmark 57 West after the 7:15pm show.
