Celebrity stylist Daniel Bauer, who was recently named Vogue Makeup Artist of the Year, has worked with clients like Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra to name just a few and has over 150 fashion magazine covers to his credit.
Most recently, the award wining celebrity hair and makeup designer appeared on Sunday’s episode of India’s Next Top Model. In it’s premiere season, the reality show hosted by Lisa Haydon is joined by Dabboo Ratnani, Anusha Dandekar, and Neeraj Gaba on the judging panel. Like the original US series hosted by Tyra Banks, the show gives 12 contestants, who are not models, the chance to become India’s Top Model.
For this week’s show, the models were given a makeover with a very special look that was designed and executed by Daniel Bauer.
Daniel tells us exclusively, “The challenge set by TREsemme was to turn 7 contestants into 7 models. Lisa Haydon reviewed the portfolio of each girl and curated looks that would be both visually trans-formative, but which would also help the girls see themselves as models. We created looks with sheer fringes and played around with different Ombre colours. Once the girls has completed their makeover. INTM set them the challenge of modelling in a restricted space, I choose the girls who I felt would feel more challenged for each of the 3 different spaces; enchanted forest, bad-ass barbie doll house and the Indian Queen at Gateway of India”
