Charmme is about to team up in another Malayalam film with Megastar Mammootty, who is currently basking in the success of his megahit Pazhassi Raja. She will star with him in Dronar. She is already working in another Mollywood film – with Dileep in Aagathan.
Charmme, winner of a Best Actress Award for Mantra, is having an excellent year, having already taken the lead role in Laadam, a Tamil remake of the British gangster movie Media:Lucky Number Slevin. In addition, she has starred in Manorama, a serious film about terrorism with Ajay – and Kavya’s Diary, in which she plays a negative role in a movie similar to The Hand That Rocked the Cradle. She also presented a stunning item number in Mahatma.
Charmme (also sometimes spelled Charmi) is very conscious of the demands of being a top actress and continues to work on all aspects of her being. “I constantly look to improve my craft,” she says, “I also like to stay in shape. I love exercising. Initially, some people said I was fat. So I worked hard on my fitness and reduced all the flab. Now I am fit. I love swimming and dancing. I also constantly work on my mental toughness and confidence. They are as important as physical fitness.”
