The Barjatya’s and TSeries have surely got the timing right (just before the festival of Navratri) when it comes to releasing the first song from Rajshri Productions epic Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. The promo of the song titled ‘Prem Leela’ released online today and has been receiving exceptional reviews across Social Media.
The song has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil and has main vocals by playback singer Aman Trikha and Vineet Singh. Aman has done an exceptional job with the vocals and sings for Salman for the second time (he also sang the very popular song ‘PoPo’ from Son of Sardaar). Himesh has definitely gone back to his roots with this album and has given it a very traditional sound; a sound that many think has been missing from Bollywood for a very long time. The very catchy music features traditional festive beats and the song is sure to be heard everywhere during the upcoming festive season of Navratri!
The song, we hear, is an introduction to Salman’s character (Prem) in the film. The promo is very colourful and is set to the backdrop of a play, which depicts the story of the ‘Ramayan’.
In a recent interview with TOI, speaking about ‘Prem Leela’ Sooraj Barjatya said, “I specially asked Himeshji (Reshammiya) to compose ‘Prem leela’ for Salman bhai. This song underlines his character’s innocence and large-heartedness. I was completely smitten by this track and am really glad with the way it has turned out.”
