Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone landed in London on Tuesday for a quick two day promotional tour, ahead of the film’s international release on the 9th August, in time for the Eid celebrations. BollySpice was there to listen to what they had to say.
Both of the actors talked about how great it was working together again, since their 2007 hit Om Shanti Om and for the first time with director Rohit Shetty (Golmaal 3, Singham, Bol Bachchan). They also shared their collective love of England and its capital city London.
Accompanying Shah Rukh and Deepika was UTV CEO Sidharth Roy Kapoor who declared that, “Chennai Express will have the widest release ever for a Hindi film in the UK. We are releasing it in approximately 125 cinemas, across 170 screens. It’s a Rohit Shetty film with Shah Rukh Khan and so deserves this kind of release”.
The stars will be concluding their two day visit by meeting fans Wednesday evening in Cineworld Feltham, London, at 7:30pm.
