Bollywood all-rounder, Akshay Kumar, is set to rock cinema halls with laughter once again, as the charming comedy caper, ‘Thank You‘, releases in cinemas across UK and worldwide on 8th April 2011. Proving his on screen versatility following a critically hailed, emotionally-charged performance in ‘Patiala House‘, Akshay Kumar returns with a performance that oozes charisma, colour and perfect comic timing, in a film that lifts the lid on extra-marital affairs.
After the staggering Box Office success of ‘Singh is Kinng‘ and the earlier ‘Welcome‘, the superstar has teamed up once more with much-loved comedy director, Anees Bazmee, for another surefire hit which will have audiences in stitches well after the end credits roll. Filmed on location in Canada, ‘Thank You‘ sees Akshay feature opposite vivacious starlet, Sonam Kapoor, and alongside a host of fellow industry luminaries such as Bobby Deol, Irrfan Khan, Suneil Shetty, Celina Jaitley and Rimi Sen in a battle of the sexes which will transform matrimony to acrimony.
Synopsis
Raj, Yogi and Vikram – best friends, business partners, serial womanisers and happily married. Happy, because their naive wives have no clue that their husbands cannot resist the temptation of a flutter of the eyelids. This picture perfect world is rocked when Raj’s wife, Sanjana, begins to suspect her husband and hires the suave private detective, Kishan, to tail him. Kishan has built his reputation as a man who saves marriages by getting erring husbands to mend their ways. In this particular case, however, his overwhelming attraction towards Sanjana means he may not be acting with the best of intentions. What follows is a crazy cat and mouse game, with Kishan trying to catch the husbands getting up to misdemeanours and mischief as they try to mislead him off their trail.
‘Thank You’ is a laugh-a-minute caper which will have you in splits, continuing with the signature comic style audiences have come to expect from the winning combo of Akshay Kumar and Anees Bazmee.
