Katrina Kaif has been advised by doctors to take at least two days complete bed-rest, following a serious bout of food poisoning.
This is only the most recent in a string of health concerns for the delicate actress, and is not the first time doctors have told the actress to take a complete break. Katrina’s delicate constitution was hit hard at the end of last year when she repeatedly suffered low hemoglobin counts and ultimately underwent surgery to remove an ovarian cyst. Even during her long illness, Katrina maintained a jam-packed schedule of public appearances and work, pushing her frail constitution to its limits.
Those close to the actress fear that her work ethic, and anxiety over performing up to acceptable standards, is only exacerbating her poor health. Currently the actress is dubbing for Prakash Jha’s Raajneeti. Her dialogues in this film are said to be long and complex, and require a grasp of shuddh Hindi. Katrina’s castmates Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn have no problems with the language, but Katrina is stressed over the effort it requires: “I have to labour over every word and make sure it comes out right. It is just sapping the hell out of me,” she commented.
Hopefully, the actress will heed her doctors’ advice and take the time out she needs to get healthy.
