We all know that Arbaaz Khan’s debut as a producer was last years highest grossing film Dabangg and now the highly anticipated sequel will be his debut as a director. Asked if he felt any pressure, Arbaaz replied in a recent interview, “If you have your core team figured out, and a good script, I think you’re pretty much sorted.”
You may recall that Arbaaz fell out with Abhinav Kashyap, director of Dabangg, when Abhinav walked out on Dabangg 2, but the two made up at a party recently. Ask Arbaaz about the whole episode now and he says, “Sometimes some things don’t work out and that’s what happened between us, but I have moved on. We both are now over it. We met after a long time and so we sat down and spoke about Dabangg. There is no animosity between us anymore.”
Meanwhile, brother Salman is so busy at the moment with his assignments, that Dabangg 2 has been pushed back even further and will now not start shooting till mid-2012, which means a 2013 release. However, Arbaaz is not worried: “Salman is busy and I have to respect that…for someone of his superstar status, working on 2-3 films a year also requires huge effort. I am waiting for him…”
With Ready emerging the biggest film of 2011 so far and Salman’s upcoming Bodyguard garnering a good pre-release response, many of us are waiting for the return of Robin-Hood Pandey in Dabangg 2!
