Dabangg 2 takes the box office by storm

Salman Khan’s latest film Dabangg 2 has done impressively well at the global box office, after having collected nearly RS. 65 crores at the Indian box office. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film had a great start on Friday and managed to fetch RS. 21 crores on its first day of release. There was a slight slump on Saturday and it collected around RS. 19 crores. However, this all changed on Sunday and the film collected a cool RS. 24 crores, thus successfully recovering all production costs in just three days.

Dabangg 2 did excellent business at the overseas market also. In the UK, the film amassed £341,619 (RS. 3.03 crores), whilst in the USA and UAE, it collected $1,019,213 (RS. 5.60 crores) and UAE AED 4,700,000 (RS. 7.03 crores) respectively. The film also created history in Pakistan by being one of the biggest film openings ever in the country after having collected RS. 1.92  crores.

Based on these figures, it is most likely that Dabangg 2 will cross the 100 crore mark in the coming days, especially due to the Christmas holidays.
