‘Dard-e-Disco’ is one of the favorite tracks from the Om Shanti Om soundtrack for many people and everyone is certainly floored by the promos for the song. The song is a superhit on the charts and now it is now going to be used in a thrilling contest!

CNN-IBN has started the ‘Dard-e-Disco Dance Challenge’ and it is a unique and very exciting talent hunt. SRK’s mantra, “You have heard the track, now you decide the moves” is the basis for the contest and you might get to perform in front of SRK, Deepika and Farah!

So what does the contest entail? First log on to www.ibnlive.com and if you do not all ready have the song you can download it. Then get your groove on because you are going to do your own choreography for ‘Dard-e-Disco’. Film your best moves to the song and then upload it to the site. You have 60 seconds and only 10mb to show you can hold your own with the Shah Rukh!

Farah Kahn said, “I am sure there would be quite a lot of fun in the offering once a common man on the street starts dancing to the beats of ‘Dard-e-Disco’. We want every ‘bhelpoori wallah’ and ‘rickshaw wallah’ to get grooving to the beat.”

If internet access is a problem or not your thing the Youth Icon Paras Tomar tour might also be coming to your town and you could be filmed by them for the challenge. You can also send your CD to an address that is listed on the website.

Then guess who will watch you dance? Only Farah Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, who are the judges for the contest. Through four phases, they will watch the videos and will make a short list. Those lucky enough to be on that list will have their videos on the ibnlive website and then the public can vote for their favorite one. Five videos will also be aired on CNN-IBN each week and then the votes will be cast by viewers through SMS.

The five with the most votes will then be in the Grand Finale and be flown to Mumbai. These five will get the amazing opportunity to train with Farah Kahn and her dancers.

“It has to be as whacky as possible. I am expecting people out there to really go mad. Madder the dance steps, more is going to be the fun,” Farah said.

Best of luck to all the entrants for this novel and mind-blowing contest! Excuse me now while I go work on my entry!
