Starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati is definelty high on the list of most anticipated films. Currently in production, the period film drama set in the 1300s, yes the 1300s is set for release later this year.
Recently, Deepika Padukone talked to PTI about how creatively satisfying it has been to work on this film.
She says it can be a challenge both for her and Bhansali to create new magic working together again for the third time but they are up to the task. “It is difficult as an actor to work with someone you have worked for so long. It’s challenging for both the director and actor to bring something new to the table every time they come together. It’s an amazing collaboration.”
Adding, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali brings out the best in me as an actor. Working on Padmavati with him brings out a creatively- enriching feeling in me… The way he pushes you, challenges you… That’s what drives me to do his films.
“We hope we are able to deliver something different for the audience this time again with Padmavati,” she said.
We certainly can’t wait to see this film with this incredible cast come alive onscreen!
