Deepika Padukone spoke positively about her Chennai Express co-star Shah Rukh Khan to the media by claiming that he is someone she can trust and is now a very good friend of hers. “I was glad to be working with him again. He has become my very good friend today. He is someone I trust personally and professionally. I am sure he will always be there for me whenever I need him,” said Deepika to PTI.
Chennai Express has been directed by Rohit Shetty and produced under Khan’s production company Red Chillies Entertainment. The story will reportedly be based on a man’s journey from Mumbai to Rameswaram. Deepika shared her experiences of working in this film and how much she enjoyed it. “It was lot of fun working on the film. It was a great experience. Rohit is known for making comedy films and this film as well has turned out to be very entertaining. It is very different from what he has done. I am quite excited about its release.”
Chennai Express releases in cinemas on 8 August!
