In the same vein as the hit TV show Dragon’s Den, where top business people support new entrepreneurs with hard cash, Deepika Padukone has said she is looking for talent to back in innovative new projects. “It is true that I want to support people to hone their talent. Talent across sectors is what I am looking out for. There is no dearth of talent in India. But when it comes to supporting many of them, I don’t think we have the adequate infrastructure. I’m actively into this programme and trying to help them in whichever way I can.”
Riding high on the success of Love Aaj Kal, Deepika has been talking about her love for love stories which makes her performance in LAK seem so natural. “I am addicted to love stories,” she says, “I love everything about love stories-the emotions, dream sequences, love notes, sweet nothings…I am a romantic at heart.”
Deepika is now looking forward to her next two movies, Housefull, with an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Lara Dutta and Jiah Khan, which has just finished a shoot in London; and Karthik Calling Karthik, with the multitalented Farhan Akhtar.
