Deepika Padukone, has come a long way since her debut in SRK’s home production and super hit, Om Shanti Om, and has ventured into different roles (‘Sakhi/Suzy’ in Chandni Chowk To China, ‘Shonali’ in Karthik Calling Karthik and ‘Veronica’ in the recent Cocktail), and more recently, is due to appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela opposite Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl star Ranveer Singh.
Deepika is set to play a Gujarati girl in which she’ll need to dance accordingly. According to one source close to the film sets, Bhansali asked Deepika to dance similarly to Aishwarya’s garba dancing (traditional Gujarati dance) .
Lead actress, Deepika is going to no end in terms of her character in this film, and to further get into the skin of her Gujarati character, Deepika also went on some festive shopping with her designer and stylist to Gujarati shopping centres and picked up lavish ghaghra cholis.
