Starship trooper and Bond Babe, Denise Richards will be momentarily escaping from all the glamor and clamor of her US hit reality show Denise Richards: It’s Complicated to make her debut in Kambakth Ishq opposite Akshay Kumar. In yet another sign of the growing links between Hollywood and Bollywood, director Najid Khan will be spending $5 million dollars on the movie at Universal Studios in which Akshay plays the part of a stuntman and Denise will play the part of one of his love interests. Sylvester Stallone will also be making an appearance in the movie.
Meanwhile, Denise is in a spot of bother with her Hidden Hills California neighbors who are complaining that her reality TV show has turned their area into a media zoo. Her $4.2m home that she used to share with ex-husband Charlie Sheen is in a gated community. Charlie left after a stormy divorce played out in the media which involved a prolonged custody battle that left the couple’s two children in therapy. “My kids are in therapy,” she explains, “It’s very sad that they need to be there, but they do for now. On the other hand, it’s good they have an outlet to deal with their feelings and someone who is just their advocate. If I can help anyone feel better about their kids being in therapy – then something else good has come of this, too.”
Denise has appeared in some seminal movies over the last ten years starting with Starship Troopers and including Wild Things, The World is Not Enough and Love Actually.
