In case you were wondering why the cutesy Desi Kali track had disappeared from the film and wasn’t seen as a full-fledged song in Golmaal 3, well, the promotional number was simply eliminated from the film. According to sources, after an entire set was created for the song but just before the shoot began, the actors, Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor, decided against it as they did not like the Pritam created track.
While Pritam heard of this news, he was unaware as to why the song was not choreographed. And while Bhushan Kumar from T-Series accepted that the set was made and ready for use, he went on to give a totally different reason as to why the song wasn’t shot. “Yes, a set had been put up at Yash Raj Studios. But Ajay was busy shooting for Priyadarshan’s film Tez. In fact, I called up Priyadarshan and asked him for Ajay’s availability. But we couldn’t pull it off,” clarified Kumar.
Producers Ashtavinayak are believed to have taken a 36 Lakhs loss with the elimination of the song but have chosen not to comment on the matter.
