Abhishek Bachchan has said that his upcoming release Dhoom 3 is shaping well and is near completion. The third installment of the Dhoom franchise, the film will see Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif taking on the leading roles, with Abhishek and Uday Chopra reprising their roles from the previous two films. Here is what Abhishek had this to say regarding shooting for the film to the Indian press. “The film looks great. I’m very excited about the Dhoom franchise and ‘Dhoom 3’ is really shaping very well. ‘Dhoom 3’ is like home coming for me.”
Talking about his role, Abhishek mentioned that he finds it challenging to reshape the most famous character he has enacted during his career Inspector Jai Dixit. However, he feels that it is a necessary step to take so the audiences don’t find him boring to watch on-screen. “I always want to make Jai as interesting as possible and that’s what is challenging and interests me a lot.”
Abhishek also spoke about working for the first time with Aamir Khan and showered nothing but praise upon him. “It’s an absolute pleasure to work with Aamir. I got to learn so much from him. He is so involved, passionate and full of energy on the sets. He brings in a lot of positive energy with him.”
Dhoom 3 releases in cinemas worldwide in Christmas 2013. It will be the first film in the history of Indian Cinema to release in IMAX format also!
