The Dhoom series is becoming quite the hallmark for style and Katrina Kaif, the Dhoom 3 ‘Dhoom Machale’ girl, does not disappoint.
Dhoom saw Esha Deol in a gold 2-piece in one of the most memorable songs of her career and Dhoom 2 saw Aishwarya Rai styled in Pepe Jeans and in a tanned, toned and sexy incarnation. Her super slim physique and bronzed avatar was the talk of the town for months and will probably remain as one of the landmarks of her career. The sneak peak of Dhoom 3‘s ‘Dhoom Machale’ shows Katrina in some high fashion and pulse-increasing looks that we’re sure will be leaving a mark in Bollywood history.
Anaita Shroff Adajania, Vogue’s fashion director and costume designer for Dhoom 3, said, “For the first time we were given a lot of liberty with the clothes, but in the end, it really came down to how Katrina pulled off everything we put her in”.
We see Katrina in a whopping total of 5 different outfits:
1. A black S&M style dress paired with thigh high boots and hot red lips.
2. A red and gold corset bodysuit
3. A hot pink bikini top and clashing pink cover up
4. A seemingly plain yellow dress brought out with a glamorous gold belt and amazing shoes
5. An all-gold disaster
The first 4 outfits work well with the black bondage dress coming out top of the class. The final outfit we catch in the preview, however, is a massive disappointment. The gold corset teamed with unnecessary, gaudy accessories including thigh-high laced gold boots and a fringed cape is all a bit too much. Adajania was going for the “leader of an ultra-glamourous army” look but has unfortunately embarked on a latex misadventure.
Aditi Singh Sharma has done a great job with the vocals and Katrina has surprised us yet again with her constantly improving dance moves. She is looking her sexiest yet and we can’t wait to see whether there’ll be any more hot dresses or contrastingly tacky bodysuits that Adajania has styled her in.
