A film that is being criticized for being anti-Pakistan, is being widely loved by the Pakistani population.
Dhurandhar has not only taken India but also Pakistan by storm. And this,although the film remains banned in Pakistan! The pirated versions of Dhurandhar have flooded the country.
Says Madhavan one of Dhurandhar’s lead actors, “The videos of Pakistanis going berserk over Dhurandhar are all over. I want to ask all those who have accused the film of being anti-Pakistan, what do they have to say about the film’s popularity in Pakistan in spite of being banned in the country?”
Madhavan defends the director Aditya Dhar against the barrage of trolls accusing him of being a propagandist director. “This propaganda narrative is so feeble and absurd. If you love your country and address the issue of its sovereignty you are accused of being a mouthpiece. Dhurandhar has taken the world by storm not for its political leanings, but because it is a damn good film.”
