With their first collaboration Amar Singh Chamkila nominated for two international Emmy awards, it comes as no surprise to know that filmmaker Imtiaz Ali is all set to team up with singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh all over again.
The film, a love story about two generations of soul mates, also stars Vedang Raina, Naseeruddin Shah and Sharvari.
The music for this untitled film reunites Imtiaz Ali with A R Rahman.
While Diljit Dosanth was unavailable for comment a close friend revealed, “Diljit shares a very close friendship with Imtiaz Ali after Amar Singh Chamkila. Not that they meet often or talk regularly. But Diljit feels am affinity to Imtiaz that he has never felt for any director. In fact, Diljit had decided to not do any more films for now, and focus on his live performances. But then Imtiaz made Diljit an offer he couldn’t resist.”
The film starts shooting in Punjab next month.
