The 60th National Film Awards announced yesterday saw UTV’s Paan Singh Tomar walk away with two prominent awards, Best Feature Film and Best Actor for Irrfan Khan.
Paan Singh Tomar, directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, is the hitherto untold true story of a simple farmer, a loyal soldier and a champion athlete who became one of India’s most dreaded dacoits. The film which saw a worldwide release on 2nd March 2012 was critically acclaimed across India and International markets.
