For his international project The Lifestyle – In Generation Next that is set to go the floors in November, director Santosh Kumar Jain has some very big plans. Not only will it be both in Hindi and English, the film has a huge budget, and even more exciting is that apparently he has gotten a “Yes” from a big Hollywood actress to star in the film. Who is that you may ask? That star is none other then Drew Barrymore.

According to Jain, The Lifestyle – In Generation Next, is “based on the lifestyle of women in Generation Next, with respect to the values of River Ganga. It’s a women-oriented film and we wanted a strong character for it.”

About casting Drew Barrymore, the director, who is also writing and producing the film, thinks that Drew fits the character perfectly, “The script required an international star like Kate Winslet or Drew Barrymore and we settled for the Charlie’s Angels star.”

Recently the director was also quoted as saying, “I really liked her performance in Charlie’s Angels and decided to cast her in my film. Fortunately, she liked the script and agreed instantly. The film is about three women from different walks of life, trying to assert their identities. Drew plays the role of a foreigner in the film. The other two will be top Indian actresses.” The two Indian actresses are still to be cast.

Jain says that this film will rival Rajnikant’s Robot and is apparently going to cost a pretty penny to make, since it will be filmed in 3D. However, not just any 3D, it will be shot with the same technique as Avatar. “This is going to be one of the costliest movies made in India. We will shoot 15 to 20 per cent of the film in India, and rest in US.” The film is scheduled to release in 2012.

We will keep an eye out for more news on this interesting project and will be sure to report it all so watch BollySpice for more.
