In a very exciting announcement, Emraan Hashmi gave fans a gift for his birthday by revealing his new project. The actor has been leaving some easter eggs along the way, and many predicted that he would be back to his character from Awarapan (2007), and they were right!
In a cool video that references the drama and devastation of the original Mohit Suri-directed film set to the song ‘Toh Phir Aao’, the end sees Emraan coming into focus again for Awarapan 2!
The tagline to the announcement video says, “A tribute to all the fans who have loved and celebrated Awarapan. Get ready to relive the nostalgia and embrace the next chapter in Shivam’s journey as Awarapan 2 is set to hit theatres on 3rd April 2026.”
With Emraan posting, “Bas mujhe kuch aur der zinda rakh…(Just keep me alive for some more time…)”

So far, all we know is that Awarapan 2 is directed by Nitin Kakkar, is a continuation and a new dramatic journey for Emraan’s character, and is scheduled for release in 2026. Call us intrigued!
