Bollywood star Farhan Akhtar, musician Vishal Dadlani and the band Skrat have teamed up for a special music video for the Hollywood blockbuster X-Men: Days of the Future Past. Titled ‘Mutant Macha,’ the song will be released on 19 April, with the first 100,000 music downloads being made available free for fans on the website FarOutMedia. The video will be broadcast on TV channel Star Movies, when the film makes its television premiere.
Speaking about this exciting collaboration, Farhan Akhtar had the following to say. “Our aim is to help indie music and indie-artists get onto mainstream platforms. Mutant Macha is a song that portrays the ultimate hero – someone who stands for good in the most adverse of times. The spirit of our collaboration brings about kinship that the world needs to create a united force for positivity.”
Adding to this was Vishal Dadlani, who spoke about how proud he is to be a part of this project. “The best thing about music is that it speaks a universal language and as long as you feel the emotion, feel the essence – you will get the message no matter what the genre. We are glad to have come together to create this piece for Star Movies and I hope everyone has a blast listening to it.”
Stay tuned as we will bring to you the video for ‘Mutant Mancha’ as and when we get it!
