Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar have opened a private preview theater in Santacruz, Mumbai. Both producers wanted the opening of the theater to coincide with their big release Talaash.
However, since work on the preview theater has not been completed in time, screenings will only take place next week.
Excel Entertainment, run by Farhan and Ritesh, is gearing up for the big release this Friday after last year’s Don 2 starring Shah Rukh Khan.
Situated in a suburban hub, it is reportedly a very luxurious and intimate theater with plush seats and state of the art technology..
Usually film screenings take place at Filmcity due to the good picture and sound quality the theaters offer. However, we are sure that Ritesh and Farhan will be requested by industry members to let them hire their new exclusive theater for previews of their films.
When contacted, Excel Entertainment’s spokesperson said: “Ritesh and Farhan were keen to open the preview theater called Lightbox before the release of Talaash. Work has been going on for almost a year to get the state of the art theatre opened in suburbs. Unfortunately, it gets operational from tomorrow.”
