To mark 100 years of Indian cinema, Filmfare Magazine will be releasing a special issue which will see three iconic actors gracing its front cover. They are of course Mr Dilip Kumar, Mr Amitabh Bachchan and Mr Shah Rukh Khan. All three actors took part in a photo shoot on Thursday at Dilip Kumar’s residence, where to some extent they created history.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted the following on his official account. “Photo shoot with Dilip Saheb and Shah Rukh for the cover of Filmfare – 100 years Indian cinema… threatening Filmfare to put out pictures.” Mr Bachchan also made another post regarding the photo shoot on his official blog. He had this to say: “So for now just a few pictures of the day done at Dilip saheb’s house for a photo shoot with him and Shah Rukh for the cover of Filmfare, celebrating the 100 years of Indian cinema.”

Dilip Kumar ruled the 1950s and 60s and is considered by many to be one of the greatest actors to have ever surfaced form Hindi Cinema. He has also been dubbed as India’s ‘tragedy king.’ Amitabh Bachchan dominated the 1970s and 80s and was branded as the ‘angry young man’ of Hindi Cinema. Shah Rukh Khan, although still popular today, was even more popular during the 1990s and 2000s and gradually became known as the ‘Baadshah of Bollywood.’ Hence, the impact which all three actors have had over the last decades resulted in Filmfare selecting them to pose for this special issue.

We will of course bring you the official cover as soon as we get our hands on it!
