[socialBuzz]

We have your first glimpse into Salman Khan’s next film, Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. A reel telling of real-life war drama, the film Battle of Galwan brings to life a defining chapter of Indian history, a conflict fought in conditions where restraint, resolve, and sacrifice became the ultimate weapons. As Salman’s character says in the first lines of the teaser, “Jawaano yaad rahe, zakham lage to medal samajhna, aur maut dikhe to salaam karna aur kehna, ‘Aaj nahi, phir kabhi.’” – “Soldiers, remember this: if you get wounded, consider it a medal; if you face death, salute it and say, ‘Not today, maybe another time’.”

Describing the film, the director said, Battle of Galwan ‘is a true story based on the India-China conflict, which took place in 2020 in Ladakh.’ Adding, “It’s the greatest battle to be fought where more than 80 people lost their lives without a single bullet being fired in -30 degrees.”

The battle took place at over 15,000 feet above sea level, in one of the harshest terrains.

To prepare for this role, the actor had to undergo quite intense training and overcome challenges during the shoot! In an earlier interview, he said, “I’ve to give more time now. Earlier, I would do it in one or two weeks; now I’m running, kicking, punching, and all that. This film demands that. This is physically difficult. Besides, shooting in Ladakh, it is in high altitude and in cold water.”
