Mardaani Part One was released in 2014, and in 2019, the film expanded with a sequel; now it’s time for the fight to begin again.
Before the release of the original film, Rani Mukerji, speaking of her character in Mardaani , shared how realistic the portrayal is, “In this film, I am playing a no-nonsense courageous, brave female cop. It is a very real portrayal of a cop. It is something that I haven’t seen in Bollywood before and that makes Mardaani very special. The attempt here is to show female cops in the way they are in this country.”

In this third installment of the much-loved franchise, Mardaani 3 will see Rani Mukerji once again will selflessly fight for justice. Rani said, “It is always special to wear the police uniform and play a character that has only given me love. I’m proud to essay the character of this feisty cop again in Mardaani 3 as a tribute to all the unsung, brave, self-sacrificing cops who work tirelessly every single day to keep us safe.”
Today, along with the sneak peek, YRF revealed the release date as well! Mardaani 3 will hit the big screen on Friday, 27 February 2026; the makers are pegging this film to be a bloody, violent clash between Shivani’s goodness and sinister evil forces.
Saying Mardaani 3 will take the adrenaline rush several notches higher than the previous films, Rani added, “ Mardaani 3 is dark, deadly, and brutal. I am really excited about what we have at hand, and I’m only hoping that the audience, too, feels the same after watching Mardaani 3 in theatres! I hope they shower this film with the same amount of love that they have always given.”
