This week’s episode of Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle brings together larger-than-life stories, laugh-out-loud confessions and a whole lot of Bollywood masala. Kajol and Twinkle are joined by Kriti Sanon and Vicky Kaushal for one unforgettable episode where laughter turns to belly-aching fun, secrets slip out between giggles, and every story feels like a blockbuster in itself. From haunted hotels to ‘Kriti heels,’ congratulatory phone calls from Hrithik Roshan and even a shared ex between our hosts, this episode is sneaky, spicy and a full-on filmy ride!
Kajol recalls her hilarious first impression of Kriti from the Dilwale sets, “Kriti, I remember my first impression of you actually, was on the sets of Dilwale. Of course, I couldn’t see without my specs, so I remember I’m standing over there in the heat in Hyderabad. I was like who’s that who’s that. I know most of the people by vague body language, and I’m like, ‘Ye lamba chauda kaun jaa rha hai yaaha se? (Who is this tall person going from here?)” Revealing that the ‘Dilwale’ hotel was haunted, Kriti says, “So, when we were there, my makeup artist at that point experienced something spooky in her room. Like someone’s tap from behind, and then suddenly all the makeup that she had kept on shelves fell down. The next day, Rohit Sir and the team have gone with a payal, doing cham cham cham cham outside their rooms, freaking people out.”
Kajol recounts what surprised her about Kriti, “To be honest, her height. It was more the working angle of it. We really had to adjust when we were sitting and doing scenes together. If we had to do a scene where we were standing together, I had two sets of heels. My one heel was my regular heel, and my one heel was 5 and a half inches – my Kriti heels! They were my Kriti heels!! If there was a shot of us walking together, I had to be wearing ‘Kriti heels’ to be walking with her. So ya, that did surprise me.” Adding her own spin to their on-set dynamic, Kriti admits it took her a while to break the ice with Kajol, “Our first film, I think we’ve hardly spoken. It’s taken me two films to break the ice with her. I broke the ice in that film, finally. But we had a lot of fun.”
Vicky recalls his first ever encounter with Hrithik Roshan, “So I was, still am, such a huge fan of Hrithik Roshan. When his first film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai had come out, everybody, every kid in the country, was mad about him. And, I got to know my dad is working with him. Till then, I had never asked ki papa mujhe isse milwa do, mujhe pata bhi nahi hota tha, filmset kya hota hai, kaise hota hai (Papa, introduce me to him, I didn’t even know what a film set was or how it worked). I was in the tenth standard, I still remember, and I was like, ‘Can I get to meet him?’ And he played a trick on me, I don’t know for what reason, he was like, ‘Yaar par vo toh unhi baccho se milta hai jinko Ek Pal Ka Jeena karna aata hai. (But he only meets the children that know the dance step of Ek Pal Ka Jeena)’ Mai teen din se rehearsal kiye jaa rha hu. (I had been practicing for 3 days) Ki mai Hrithik sir se milunga, vo bolenge karke dikhao, mai karke dikha dunga aur vo mere pyaar mei padd jayenge. (That I will meet Hrithik sir, he will say show me the step, I will do it and he will fall in love with me) That day, when I had gone on set, he was very sweet, we clicked pictures.”
Kriti, also a huge fan of Hrithik, reveals the time she got a call from him in the middle of the night, “The only person whose posters I’ve had in my room was Hrithik Roshan. And, when Heropanti released, I remember, Tiger had kept a screening for him specifically, and I didn’t know about it. And I’m sleeping, and at 2 am, my phone buzzed, and there was an unknown number. And, I went on Truecaller, and it said Hrithik Roshan. It took me some time to even understand he was calling. Then I waited for morning and called him back.”
The episode also dives into Kriti spilling on her current crush and confessing she’s a total hopeless romantic at heart, “Whoever it is, is not from the industry, so that’s great. I love romance. I love the idea of being in love. I also love love-stories, jo bahaut kam ban rahi hai aaj kal. (I also love love stories, which are being made very rarely these days)”
And just when you think the revelations are done, things get even juicier. Twinkle and Kajol drop a bombshell while playing This or That. When asked “Best friends shouldn’t date each other’s exes”, Twinkle agrees and says, “My friends are more important to me than any man. Vo toh kahi pe bhi mil jayega. (That can be found anywhere)” Looking at Kajol, she continues, “We have an ex in common, but we can’t say.” To which Kajol nervously replies, “Shut up, I beg you.”, leaving everyone in splits!
