Apparently O Romeo producer Sajid Nadiadwala has obtained court orders to stop an outflow of negativity against his film.
The O Romeo page on BookMyShow no longer shows the audience rating score or reviews. This is the first time that a Hindi film has been ‘protected’ in this way from negativity.
In September 2024, Nadiadwala had issued a stern warning to reviewers who apparently demand money for writing positive reviews or else threaten to “destroy” films. Nadiadwala had described such reviewers as “extortionists”.
Nadiadwala’s last release was Housefull 5, which got scathing reviews from critics across the board. O Romeo mixed reviews. Could this be a vain effort to muzzle criticism?
